One of my 9 year Old Daughters Birthday cards

Hi everybody.

Again I am completely in love with these ruffles on the bottom of cards and thought I would share another card with you that I have created using them. It is very different from the previous card I made and I just love how it turned out. You can find the link to the blog that has the ruffles below.

I used my Silhouette and some October Afternoon papers for the heart and rose. The stamp is from the American Crafts birthday collection. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Birthday Card

My Daughter is going to her friends birthday party tomorrow and I needed to get a card put together for her to take. The party is pirate themed so I made the card to fit in with the help of some ruffles that I found on Kiki creates blog. I think that it turned out really cute and I will be using these ruffles much more often. You can find and download them here.

My Latest Purchase and First Card.

Hi Everybody.
I am not sure how many of you have heard of Kristina Werner, but she is a massive inspiration to me as a crafter. She creates cards and tutorial videos weekly and her ideas are just fantastic. This week I was watching her new episode of Focus Friday that she had posted on You Tube and she recommended a book. It is called Folding Ideas for Cards and Envelopes. I loved the look of the Book and also the card that Kristina made with the template and so decided to buy the book for inspiration.

After reading a couple of reviews I was weary as although Kristina loved it the reviews were not the best. Inside  you get a cd with all the templates of the cards and folds in pdf format. To my delight I was able to import the templates into make the cut no problem and cut my card shapes from there, no measuring and fussing with craft knives yippee.

This is the first card I have made using the template from the book.

My Craft Room

Just thought I would post some piccies of my craft space as it is kind of clean at the minute and everybody has been adding there spaces to their blogs. Hope you like it x

Greeting Card using Forever Friends retro collection

I thought that I would share this card that I made this afternoon for my mums colleague in work. He loves fishing and has just turned 65 so the Forever friends retro cd for men was a wonderful inspiration for me. This cd along with a sketch from Sketch and stash has enabled me to create this really cute card. I think that it turned out really well.
This is the easel card top. I followed the Sketch and stash sketch for this card, The backing papers and the decoupage are bothe from the retro collection.
here is a close up of the Decoupage from the FF retro collection. There are lots of layers but the outcome is so cute.

This is the base of the easel card. I used the Cricut Hannah Montana Cartridge for the font and then cut a fish from Crafters Companion Male hobbies collection to complete the base.

I hope you like it.

30th Birthday Easel Card

Hi Everybody. I am am back to blogging after a week in North Wales in a caravan with my mum, sister and our children. It was a very busy and fun week, but I have to admit I am glad to be back crafting again. I have been asked to create a 30th Birthday card for a friends daughter in law and this is what I came up with. I would love to hear what you think. I am also using this as my entry into the Papertake weekly challenge as this weeek is to create flowers from scratch. I used my cricut and the Cricut Flower Shoppe Cartridge to create the Paper Roses for the card.
I used Silhouette Studio and a font I had downloaded for the name and Number on the Card
Here are the roses created with the Cricut Flower Shoppe Cartridge I think that they are really beautiful and add dimension to the card
The Ballerina and Butterflies are both files from the Silhouette Library that I have.
The Completed Card.
